2008 Sprint Into The Garden Lecture Series

New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park

GNOBS member and past president, Jim Osborne will give a lecture as part of the 2008 Spring Into The Garden Lecture Series at the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park. Jim will host a lecture on "An Introduction to the Art of Bonsai". Jim will cover topics as "What is a Bonsai", Where to find Bonsai material, how to create your own Bonsai, Bonsai care, what to look for when purchasing a Bonsai.

The date of the lecture is Saturday April 26th from 11:00am untill noon. Cost of the lecture is $10.00

Open Workshop

Problems with your favorite trees? Problems with your problem trees? No problems at all? Well come to the GNOBS May meeting and we'll discuss it and you can work on it too. This is Open Workshop month at GNOBS. Members are encouraged to bring in a tree or just bring themselves to help other members.

Kirk Vaughn: Tropicals

Our very own Kirk Vaughn will give a demonstration on tropicals at the GNOBS May meeting. This is a great time of year to work on these trees. New Orleans is very kind to tropicals; warm weather and the best humidity (you can't do better than 100%).
